Happy 10 Months!!

Hey buddy,

This is you these days, carrying objects and following me from room to room!

I can't believe you're ten months old!! You have sprouted 6 teeth (top four have just broken through), walk everywhere, babble loudly and constantly and finally, finally sleep through the night again (poor thing, I think you were just plain uncomfortable for the last ten months b/c when I put a soft blanket under your crib sheet last week, you started sleeping 10-12 hrs. w/out waking up).

One of my favorite things is how soundly and still you look when you're sleeping compared to the minute you wake up and start moving FULL of energy and ready to go!  Its like you flip a switch from "off" to "on".  Speaking of, that is one more thing you have discovered, flipping a light switch on and off.  It is adorable to see you do it and then look in the mirror and smile big at yourself, you're so proud and excited.  I think you must be in the stage of learning about cause and effect.

Some other things you LOVE to do right now include swimming and walking out into chest high water (w/ me holding you, of course), and exploring the refrigerator.  You also cackle with laughter and shake all over when we chase you, crawl after you or sneak up behind you-so fun!  You're still so active-not a huge fan of being strapped into the carseat and not that interested in too many books, unless they've got things to touch!  You are SO happy and relaxed and active when you are in a familiar environment, but much more calm and observant when you are in new settings.  I love you so much, buddy and thank God all the time that He's given me the desire of my heart with being a wife and a mom...xoxoxo!!

The day started off cold but warmed up.  Good thing you're a boy and can take off some clothes to cool off!

Went to another cookout the same day at our sweet friends' house, where you enjoyed playing with some other kids and all the toys.  Heather couldn't believe how happy you were, even at 8pm when we were still chillin out...that's my boy!
