Spring Getaway

They grow up so fast, don't they;)

Hey babe,
We recently got back from a long two-week trip to FL to visit family and friends.  You were such a good traveler on the plane and sleeping in the pack 'n play instead of your crib.  I was so proud of your flexibility.
The first few days we took it easy and just hung out around the house with Granna and saw your Aunt Lynn and cousin Matt a lot.  Then we hit up the park, the beach and the zoo.  Too much to write about, so here's the pictures:

You and Aunt Lynn

Park date

Still love swinging, now for longer amounts of time.  I can hear your giggle looking at this!

I'm in love with you:)

Precious boy

Peekaboo! You love to look at people through, over and under objects.

Buddies

We made a trip to Fort DeSoto beach.

You enjoyed the sand this time.

Matthew enjoyed practicing his new skill-crawling.

Sent this one to daddy and he made it his wallpaper on his phone.  He missed us while he was working, but liked to see us having fun together...good man!

We decided to go to Lowry Park Zoo since you and Matt both have interest in your dogs now, we figured you'd like looking at some other animals as well.
Loved to hold the map, just like your daddy!

1st manatee sighting

And the bears...but you were pretty interested in trying to gnaw on the posts;)

I knew you'd have so much fun...our reason for going, that smile right there.  You enjoyed watching these little S. African penguins swim in the water, too.

Granna was a great help and fun to have along.

This sweet little two year old giraffe was born at 6 ft. tall!

Thanks to Aunt Lynn, we all got to feed him!

His blue tongue was really, really long!

Splashed your feet (and pants-whoops!) in the fountain to cool off before we left.

Your Great Aunt Anne came for lunch.  She is SO good with you boys and played with you on the floor a lot.

You can do all 4's now, and rock, although you don't really like it much.

You were mighty unhappy trying to go back to sleep, but the moment I sat you here you cheered up!  I've submitted this picture to the UF magazine and you're going to be published in their online version soon:)

Pastor Denny, of Grace Church in Gainesville, has such a warm presence and calm voice that you instantly warmed up to him.

My special 90 year old friend, young-at-heart, Doris!

Izzy loved you so much and kept kissing you.

My fun and entertaining college buddy, Meagan and her new little girl.

You with both of your cousins!!
Anna loves you, too!

Not so sure about Uncle Mark...

Auntie Rene is ok, though!
Y'all had so much fun playing in that box!
So happy to have the Morans and the Tyuses for some family time!!

Love,
Mommy
