This Christmas season, we're starting a family tradition with thousands others to spread joy to others through acts of kindness, its called Light 'em Up! through my favorite blog site, Lillightomine.com (here's the link: http://www.lillightomine.com/light-em-up-2012.php ). We may just do a few this year since you're still so young, but I am excited to do things myself that take the focus off of getting and onto giving. And may our actions AND hearts bring glory and praise to God alone.
Here's our first attempt, thanking a Veteran, along with some others:
Veterans
and their families frequent this spot, so I wrote a note and left it under a
small rock on the memorial for the right person to read, I pray. It
said, "Thank you so much for your selfless and humble service to our
country and for fighting to protect our freedoms. Because of you, I can
be a stay-at-home mom and be on my own, going where ever I choose in the day,
with freedom from fear. May God Bless you and may God Bless America.
With Sincere Thanks."
Gave a sympathy card for our neighbor who just put down her dog of 14 years and gave her a frame to keep a picture of him in.
Made birthday cupcakes with a young friend for her to take to school and share!
Proverbs 11:25 says, "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." Yes, it brings joy to spread joy!
Love you,
Mommy
