How is it that my sweet little baby that could not even sit up a few months ago can now pull up on objects, free-stand for about ten seconds at a time and take a few steps all his own? Incredible!
You are most content playing with your toys while standing up and your giggly, happy self is coming back, replacing the frustration you've felt of wanting to be more mobile than you were. Apparently, you have decided to skip (or hold off on) crawling altogether for the more-exciting activity of walking.

Standing gets tiring, though!
Since you don't go on all fours that much, it is really cute to watch you sit up from a laying down position-you more roll to your side and lift yourself up on one arm, kind of like an old man waking up from a nap. Speaking of, I can now watch all your antics and activities on our new video monitor, thanks to your Great Uncle John and Great Aunt Anne=) Their generous gift is a color touch-screen and even allows my voice to come through, reminding you that "Its time to sleep, Noah!"
Don't let this sweet picture fool you into thinking the start of naptime is always so peaceful! Lately, you sit yourself up and scream all the louder!
Our other big change is that we're all moving this month...to a new home! Your dad and I still aren't ready to take the plunge and buy another place until we're real sure where we're going to stay for more years, so we decided to find another apartment, one that works better for our needs than where we're living now. After a lot of searching, we both felt the Lord answered our prayers on this one. Our new place is on the first floor (a relief when carrying YOU, groceries, the dog, bags, etc.), two bedrooms (praying having you in your own room helps you become a better sleeper!), a pool to enjoy together this summer, new parks and trails to enjoy, more greenery and fewer cars/traffic, a dog park 100 ft. off our unit (heaven for Rylee), closer to daddy's work and within the amount we wanted to spend.
And just so you know, I would rather stay home with you and live in a smaller place than not spend my days with you and work to live in a nicer/bigger home...I LOVE being with you! We look forward to a house and a yard one day where you can play and I can garden and we can plant fruit trees, but in the meantime, I am grateful for this answered prayer and for where we are...patiently waiting as the Lord guides us and enjoying the blessings we DO have! After all, Jesus said himself in Matthew 6 that life is about more than what you eat, drink or where you will live, etc. HE is our true heart's desire and the only thing worth chasing, not the things of this world.
You now eat some baby food I've made for you and little bites of whatever we're eating, be it lasagna, quiche, chicken casserole, homemade pizza, etc. Amazing what two little teeth can do! Here's some recent pics, my love!

Lori, I love reading your blog to keep up with your sweet family! Lily is in our room still, too until we move into the house next month. We're hoping her own room helps her sleep more restfully, too! :o)
